Yasmine Brown is a New York artist behind the poetry page on IG, @pushyour_pen. You can also keep up with her on her YouTube channel: “Push Your Pen” for visual content and join her on this poetry journey. Her and poetry go way back and she fell in love with it ever since. Yasmine started off writing short stories in fifth grade then moved on to poetry in middle school. Over the years she perfected her craft and moved onto bringing her work to life by performing spoken word and publishing her first book Property Of You then after her second book Let Me Take Y’all Back. She writes not only for herself but for others that share the same story or can relate to different topics touched. She uses the world to inspire her work and help assist her with pushing her pen.
